An emotional asset is an investment term to describe a collectable asset that is real and tangible and has thepotential to increase in value over time. The warehouse complex ‘Le Freeport’ in Geneva, Switzerland is the largest storage space for such assets, with reportedly over one million works of art hidden from view. Julian Billmair has produced an unlicensed advertisement for this secure tax haven, which broadcasts its facilities to make visible the accumulation of art as capital, thereby examining ‘the profit of invisible art’.
